Revolutionary Intercommunalism: On November 18th, 1970 HueyP. Newton gave a speech at Boston college outlining a new ideological direction for the Black Panther Party, Revolutionary Intercommunalism. The following text is the transcript of that speech.Among many things, Newton was known for being an advocate of self-defense and of Palestinian statehood, and for his support of communist-led governments around the world. Newton also used his position as a leader within the Black Panther Party to welcome women and LGBTQ people into the party.
