Rosa Luxemburg was a revolutionary intellectual and organizer whose fierce commitment to internationalism, workers’ power, and uncompromising anti-imperialism placed her at the heart of early 20th-century socialist struggle. Luxemburg believed that true liberation could only be achieved through the self-emancipation of the working class, not through elite maneuvering or military command. Her writings on mass strike strategy, capitalist expansion, and the deadly logic of colonial conquest remain essential tools for understanding how empire sustains itself through both violence and accumulation. Luxemburg’s insistence that freedom must include the freedom to dissent, even within revolutionary movements, stands as a testament to her political clarity and integrity. Murdered for her role in attempting to bring socialist revolution to Germany, her life reminds us that the price of truth-telling under capitalism is often high—but that the struggle for a world rooted in justice, solidarity, and democratic socialism is not only necessary, but urgent.

Supporting independent artists cultural workers under capitalism

Making independent art is not without its challenges. It is not cheap, easy, or quick, and it is often not valued in a material sense. However, artists still need to eat and pay rent.

Contemporary art, media and journalistic praxis, and cultural work more broadly are often exploited in building social movements, yet they are often unstable and precarious at best.

This project offers a free library of downloadable zines and other resources, and your support is appreciated! Right now, the project is not yet making enough money to cover the costs of making, printing, and shipping the materials but with your support we'll get there!
