Alexandra Kollontai (11 x 17 Poster print)
Alexandra Kollontai was a revolutionary theorist and organizer who made it undeniably clear that the emancipation of women was not an afterthought to socialism, but a central pillar of its realization. As a Bolshevik and the only woman in Lenin’s government, she fought to place the needs of working-class women at the heart of the revolutionary project—founding the Zhenotdel, a department dedicated to organizing women and transforming social life from the ground up. Kollontai understood that true liberation required more than legal equality; it demanded the restructuring of everyday life—childcare, relationships, labor, and love—free from the constraints of private property and patriarchal control. Her writings on “communist morality” and the socialization of care work remain foundational for those who see gender oppression as a core function of class society. In a world where women's labor continues to be exploited and their lives devalued, Kollontai's vision serves as a reminder: socialism must not replicate old oppressions, but dismantle them completely—root and branch.

Supporting independent artists cultural workers under capitalism
Making independent art is not without its challenges. It is not cheap, easy, or quick, and it is often not valued in a material sense. However, artists still need to eat and pay rent.
Contemporary art, media and journalistic praxis, and cultural work more broadly are often exploited in building social movements, yet they are often unstable and precarious at best.
This project offers a free library of downloadable zines and other resources, and your support is appreciated! Right now, the project is not yet making enough money to cover the costs of making, printing, and shipping the materials but with your support we'll get there!
