International Women's Day (11 x 17 Poster print)
International Women’s Day was born not out of sentiment, but out of struggle—rooted in the organizing of working-class women who stood at the frontlines of labor battles, anti-imperialist resistance, and revolutionary movements around the world. Emerging from the early 20th-century socialist movement, particularly through the efforts of women like Clara Zetkin and Alexandra Kollontai, it was established as a day to recognize the indispensable role of women in class struggle and to demand equality, dignity, and liberation from capitalist exploitation and patriarchal oppression. From textile workers striking in Petrograd to anti-colonial women leading resistance in Africa and the Caribbean, International Women’s Day has always belonged to the militant tradition of those who see liberation as inseparable from the transformation of society itself. It is not a holiday of slogans or marketable empowerment, but a reminder of the revolutionary capacity of women to shape history, build mass movements, and overthrow systems that deny them their full humanity.

Supporting independent artists cultural workers under capitalism
Making independent art is not without its challenges. It is not cheap, easy, or quick, and it is often not valued in a material sense. However, artists still need to eat and pay rent.
Contemporary art, media and journalistic praxis, and cultural work more broadly are often exploited in building social movements, yet they are often unstable and precarious at best.
This project offers a free library of downloadable zines and other resources, and your support is appreciated! Right now, the project is not yet making enough money to cover the costs of making, printing, and shipping the materials but with your support we'll get there!
