Sarojini Naidu (11 x 17 Poster print)
Sarojini Naidu was a poet, orator, and anti-colonial organizer whose life bridged the realms of cultural expression and militant political struggle. As a leading figure in India’s independence movement, she used her voice—both literary and political—to challenge British colonial rule and advocate for self-determination, particularly for women and the working poor. A staunch critic of imperial domination, Naidu was among the first women to lead civil disobedience campaigns and mass mobilizations alongside workers, peasants, and students, becoming the first Indian woman to preside over the Indian National Congress. Though not always associated with the Marxist tradition, her work echoed the spirit of liberation that refused to separate national freedom from social transformation. She fought for the political empowerment of women and the uplift of marginalized communities, recognizing that culture, identity, and justice must be reclaimed through organized resistance. In doing so, Sarojini Naidu helped lay the groundwork for future generations who would see the intertwined battles against patriarchy, empire, and class oppression as part of a shared revolutionary horizon.

Supporting independent artists cultural workers under capitalism
Making independent art is not without its challenges. It is not cheap, easy, or quick, and it is often not valued in a material sense. However, artists still need to eat and pay rent.
Contemporary art, media and journalistic praxis, and cultural work more broadly are often exploited in building social movements, yet they are often unstable and precarious at best.
This project offers a free library of downloadable zines and other resources, and your support is appreciated! Right now, the project is not yet making enough money to cover the costs of making, printing, and shipping the materials but with your support we'll get there!
